Absolutely! I wholeheartedly agree and it's a bit befuddling to heap praise on bikini clad calendar girls for "Conservative Dads" or for VS bringing the overly sexualized and unattainable standards back to sell us "non-woke" products. Perhaps changing the marketing tactics is a good sign to Candace of culture is shifting... But it simply starting over on the same path! Not actually changing the culture. :S
There is a scene in Patch Adam’s where the old man holds four fingers out and asks Patch “how many fingers am I holding up?” Patch answers four and the old man gets upset. The old man presses Patch and asks again and again. Finally the old man says “you have to look past the problem” and as Patch looks past the four finders, they blur to 8 fingers and Patch gets it. That’s Helen’s writing to me. She’s always looking past the problem to the deeper truth. So helpful.
The consequence of tribalism is that anything that makes “the other side” angry must be good, no further examination needed. It’s maddening, because it hollows out actual principles and replaces them with groupthink that lurches from media war to online pile-on and back again.
Also the fact that they (VS) have set a distorted standard for beauty and attraction within marriages and what women should be open to in order to be attractive to their husbands (“if you really want to give your husband a treat, you’d wear THIS!”) that has attacked authentic intimacy and paved the way for the normalization of pornography, the epidemic that is destroying men, women, children and families.
couldn’t agree more. I like a lot of what I’ve heard Candace Owens say, but honestly I’ve always been bothered by how she was featured in a Playboy magazine (I think that’s what it was). Makes sense she’s say this.

No doubt Owen’s considers herself one of the pretty ones worthy of display.
